"Your first breath took ours away."
Happy 8 months Ava and Ella! What a fun-filled month this has been!! There were so many "firsts" this month for both of you and every day brought new excitement! We cannot believe how fast the time is going by, but we make sure to fill every moment with hugs, kisses, laughter, and love! You make us so happy and we love you more and more each day! We are so proud of you both! You are the best little girls and we are the luckiest mommy and daddy! xoxo
Ava Nicole
You are becoming such a big girl and you are trying to do so many things on your own! Please slow down...mommy and daddy love being able to take care of you! You got your first tooth this month! You are still trying to get used to the feeling of it in your mouth, so you keep sticking your tongue in and out of your mouth. You look so silly when you do this and it makes us laugh! You love to sit and read books (which makes mommy and daddy so happy!) You practice turning the pages and looking at the pictures. Your favorite books to look at by yourself are the touch and feel books and the crinkle noise books. Your favorite book to listen to is Green Eggs and Ham and you laugh every time mommy reads it to you! Your favorite foods are squash, zucchini, and sweet potatoes. This month you tried Gerber Puffs for the first time and you loved them!!! You especially like the blueberry, banana, and peach puffs. You are great at picking the puffs up, but sometimes need help getting them out of your hand to put them in your mouth. We are so proud of you for practicing feeding yourself! Now that you have a tooth, you are learning how to chew! This month you tasted watermelon, cantaloupe, and honeydew! You loved them all! You are such a good eater! You are trying to talk and it seems like you have so much to say! We love hearing you, "bababa" and "mmm...mmm...mmm.." when you are talking to us! You are very patient with Ella when she tries to take your toys! You two are certainly the best of friends! You smile every morning when you see her! :) Mommy and Daddy love you very much Ava! xoxo
Ella Justine
You have been so busy this month!! You are getting so strong and you are so smart. You figure things out very quickly and you never give up! Your favorite trick is to pull the Toucan out of your exersaucer! When mommy says, "uh, oh!" you crack up laughing! You laugh a lot!!! You are very ticklish (EVERYWHERE) and you love to be tickled! Your favorite game is peek-a-boo and mommy and daddy love playing with you. You do not like to sit still for very long and you have such strong legs. You love to "stand" and play with Ava when she is in her jumperoo. You love your sister and you love to be near her. We have two of almost every toy in our house, but you seem to only be interested in whatever Ava is playing with. You love to eat and there isn't much that you've tried that you don't like! When you tried the Gerber Puffs for the first time you had zero interest in them! You did not like the texture and you would spit them out or throw them. With just a week of practice, you have it down! You love the puffs and you get so excited as soon as you see the container! Your favorite is the blueberry, peach, and banana puffs. We are so proud of you for figuring out how to get them in your mouth! Your favorite foods are squash, zucchini, and sweet potatoes. You still like bananas, but you like to chew them and don't want them mushed up. You are such a big girl! You got a tooth this month too!! Music is still a love of yours! You like to listen to Genevieve on "Choo Choo Soul" and you like the "Big Block Sing Songs" on Disney Jr. You are constantly making noises with your mouth and love to chew on the sides of your pacifier. You are getting so good at cuddling and giving hugs! Mommy and daddy love you so much Ella! xoxo

First Father's Day
We are so very lucky to have Daddy in our lives! For his first Father's Day we had so much fun celebrating how much he means to us! We got up early and took Daddy out for breakfast, where he gave you your first taste of melon! Then we went to Pullen Park! Daddy took you on the train for the first time and we rode on the carousel too! Daddy works so hard to give us a good life. He loves you girls so much and everyone knows it! He hugs and kisses you all the time and reads you books! He loves to cuddle with you and you both get so excited to see him when he walks in the room. Every day when he comes home from work, he stomps his feet and you both get so happy before you even see him because you know he is home! Daddy teaches you so much and he helps you reach all of your milestones! He sleeps with you when you don't feel good and holds you when you are tired. He plays with you and feeds you. Daddy is so proud of you both and we are so proud of him! Mommy is especially grateful that Daddy gave her two healthy and happy baby girls! xo
